Air Fry Boiled Eggs

Smart Ways to Make Perfect Air Fry Boiled Eggs

When I first tried making Boiled Eggs in my Fryer, I couldn’t believe how quick and easy it was compared to the usual methods like using a Pot, the Oven, or a specialty cooker. With my Pro air Fryer, the eggs came out evenly cooked, and the whites stayed firm while the yolk was perfectly soft, without any gray spots or burned edges. Now, I always make a batch to store in the fridge for breakfast or a snack. They are reliable every time, and the technique works so well that I use it whether I’m preparing Deviled Eggs for a crowd, topping a Caesar, Cobb, or Spinach salad, or simply slicing them over avocado toast with a sprinkle of crispy bacon.

What’s equally impressive is how versatile these eggs are. Whether I’m packing a quick lunch, adding a protein boost to a Wedge salad, or crumbling them into a muffin tin breakfast bake, they always fit right in. The whole frying process is smooth, thanks to using a rack to hold them securely. Once they’re ready, the egg shells peel off effortlessly, making them ideal for every meal from weekday snacks to weekend Deviled Eggs at brunch. This air Fryer technique has genuinely added new life to my kitchen routine — it’s a game changer for Boiled Eggs lovers like me.

Equipment

                Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs up to 12 eggs, depending on the size of your air fryer

Instructions:

  • First, I always Preheat my air fryer to somewhere between 270°F and 275°F (which is around 132°C to 135°C). If your fryer doesn’t allow a lower temperature than 300°F (or 148°C), that’s fine — you can still make it work. Just remember to subtract about 1 to 2 minutes from the total cooking time to avoid overcooking the egg
  • Once the fryer is ready, I place the eggs into the basket, leaving enough space between them so they cook evenly. Close the fryer and select the cooking time based on how you like your boiled eggs. For soft boiled eggs, I usually cook them for 9 to 11 minutes. If I want jammy yolks, 12 to 13 minutes works great. For hard boiled eggs, I go for 15 minutes. Every fryer is a bit different, so you might need a little practice to find the perfect time for your particular machine.
  • While the eggs cook, I prepare an ice bath. I Fill a bowl halfway with ice and then add cold water until it’s about 3/4 filled. When the eggs are done, I Remove them from the fryer and set them directly into the ice bath for about 4 to 5 minutes. This quick chill helps them cool down while making them easier to peel.
  • After the eggs are cool, I like to Gently crack the shells by rolling them along a hard surface, making sure there are small cracks on all sides. Then, peeling is a breeze. Once peeled, you can enjoy them right away, or store them for later use in salads, sandwiches, or quick snacks.
